America will celebrate its 392nd Thanksgiving holiday

Florida Guard Family,

Next week, America will celebrate its 392nd Thanksgiving holiday.  This is a time when we traditionally reflect upon those things for which we are thankful.  For me, it is simple.  I am thankful to be a citizen of this great nation, borne of and defended by patriots of many generations.  I am thankful for my family, who has steadfastly supported and reinforced my call to service.  Finally, I am thankful for each and every one of you — Soldiers, Airmen and Civilians — members of our Florida Guard Family,
who continue to serve and sacrifice for our state and nation.

As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, I hope you will take the time to enjoy your loved ones, and ask that you also remember all of our military men and women who are serving far from home and their families.

Gretchen and I wish each of you safe and blessed Thanksgiving!
