The emphasis was for the Guard’s 50th Regional Support Group, headquartered out of Homestead and currently training at Camp Blanding.  Other military members and veterans and their families were also invited to attend.

According to Penny Justice, State Program Coordinator with the Florida Guard Family Career Connection this was an opportunity to meet and discuss potential career positions with employers who offer actual job listings and desire to hire military members, veterans and family members.

“We have 25 patriotic employers committed to our event and will probably have five to 10 more anxious to meet our Guard Family and share immediate job listings throughout Florida,” stated Justice.

Various companies such as G4S Security (left) and agencies like Florida Highway Patrol talked with potential employees.
