Congratulations to our Soldier and NCO of the Year

Congratulations to Pfc. Ty Brush and Staff Sgt. Travis Ugarte who were recognized as best Soldiers and Non-Commissioned Officers in the Florida Army National Guard on Feb. 22, 2014.

Brush, a member of C Troop, 1-153rd Cavalry Regiment, in Tallahassee, is an Infantry Soldier with nearly two years of military service. He is a resident of St. Augustine, Fla., and his long-term goals include attending college and further developing his skills as an Infantryman and leader. His hobbies include hunting and fishing.

Ugarte, a member of B Battery, 2nd Battalion, 116th Field Artillery Regiment, in Winter Haven, is an Ammo Section Chief with five years of military service. He is a resident of Tampa, and is currently enrolled at Hillsborough Community College. His hobbies include working out, playing beach volleyball, and surfing.
