Florida Guard Family,
November is Military Family Appreciation Month, and I ask you to join me in celebrating the contributions of each and every parent, sibling, spouse and child in making our organization, state and nation great.
When Service Members take their oath of service, it also obligates their families to share in that service. Ask any one of our Guardsmen who have deployed since Sept. 11, 2001, and it’s likely that person will tell you that – even though their mission was difficult and dangerous – the real hardship was borne by their families and loved ones at home. THOSE WHO WAIT—ALSO SERVE!
To the mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters, wives and husbands of the Soldiers and Airmen in the Florida National Guard, I extend heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for standing alongside your loved one(s) as he, she, or they answered the call of state or nation. Thank you for your love, support, encouragement, and sacrifice.
Emmett Titshaw Jr.
Adjutant General of Florida
