ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Nov. 20, 2014) — When a Service Member dies, every family member has a favorite story to tell about their soldier. Military Survivors will gather at Camp Blanding this weekend to tell those stories. Survivor Outreach Services and the Florida National Guard will be hosting a special event for Military Survivor Families on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition to sharing a favorite story of their Service Member, Survivors will create a Christmas ornament in honor of their Soldier to place on a special Heroes’ Tree that will remain on display at the Kennedy C. Bullard Armory throughout December. Survivors can take family portraits and go on hayrides throughout the event.
