Florida Guard Family:
We are now in peak hurricane season. While forecasters still predict a below average season for tropical activity, we know from Hurricane Andrew that it only takes one event to result in catastrophe.
With over three months remaining in hurricane season, please continue to do your part to ensure you and your families are prepared. From developing a family emergency plan, building a disaster supply kit, or “knowing your zone,” it is important that all Floridians are equipped to effectively protect themselves in the event of severe weather. Please review Florida’s Severe Weather Awareness Guide at FloridaDisaster.org.
In order for us to be effective in serving the disaster response needs of our communities, we must first be ready at home.
