Camp Blanding Joint Training Center receives environmental security award

Camp Blanding Joint Training Center has been selected by the National Guard Bureau as one of the nation’s top Army National Guard, Non-industrial Installations for Environmental Quality.

In the Announcement of the 2013 Environmental Security Awards Winners, the Florida Army National Guard took the Third Place award for Environmental Quality-Non-Industrial Installation.  An information packet will now be submitted on behave of the camp to represent the Army National Guard in the 2013 Secretary of the Army Environmental Awards Program.

42,000 acres of the 73,000-acre base near Starke are used for military training, forestry operations, wildlife management operations and public recreation opportunities.
